Laudato Si
Laudato Si - Care for our Common Home—is 5 years old.
We are struggling with the upheavals caused by a deadly virus against which we have few defences. It has caused suffering in our own country and around the world particularly to the weak and vulnerable. Historically pandemics have forced people to break with the past and imagine the world anew. 5 years ago Pope Francis wrote a letter to all people in which he envisioned another world. A world in which we put care for God’s creation and for each other at the centre of human activity. A world in which Creation and people, particularly the poor and vulnerable, were put before greed and profit. It is an appeal to us Christians to take up the commitment to creation set before us in the gospels.
